Selecting the Storage Location for your Company Information

Company information includes details regarding users, printers, sites, configuration settings and reporting data. Choose the location which makes the most sense for your business.

Be sure to consider any data residency policies that your company or government may require when deciding between the provided options.

Select the Storage Location for your Documents

If your print jobs contain sensitive information and you have concerns about where that data will be stored, then select the storage location that aligns with your company information storage location. This could impact performance when releasing jobs if the storage location is geographically far from the printer.

If you do not have concerns about where your documents are stored, or if performance is more important than the storage location, then select the 'Optimized for Performance’ option. This uses the location of the end user to decide where a document will be stored. The documents will reside in one of the following locations: the EU, UK or US

Access Control

Control who can join your cloud company and use your printers. By default, any user with your company code can self-register, and users from other cloud companies can print as guests. If you need stricter access control, use the advance option to restrict self-registration to approved email addresses or domains, and optionally turn off guest printing. You can also maintain a blocked user list to prevent specific users from joining printing.

Standard Security (Easy Administration)

Users can self register with company code or administrator can add user or domain to the Allowed Users list.

Allow users not associated with this Company Account to access the Printer Client Application. This toggle can be used to provide a Guest Access print workflow.

Advanced Security (Manual Administration)

Administrator must add every user or domain to the Allowed Users list.
